Indiana Covered Bridges

Historic covered bridges of Indiana.  Here we feature two bridges in snow: Mansfield Bridge and Bridgeton, perhaps the best known covered bridge in Indiana.  Mansfield Bridge built 1867.  Bridgeton Bridge rebuilt in 2006 after original destroyed by fire. Picture taken before adjacent Bridgeton Mill was damaged and repaired in early-mid 2011 as roof is not the new tin roof.

Kentuky

Images from Kentucy.  Just missed us... by 210 million years.  Dinosaur World.  Kentucky caves.  Stalactites and stalagmites.  Limestone bedrock honeycombed with crevices permitting water to move underground in places as Karst groundwater - this natural spring has been named "The Blue Hole" and is part of the underground dissolved limestone drainage system in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Mammoth Cave National Park, part of the Green River valley of south central Kentucky. World's longest known cave system - over 390 miles have been explored. Named for its laarge chambers and complex labyrinth system.
